Do Ceramic Turbos Need Oil

Thanks to all my patreon subs.
Do ceramic turbos need oil. In this video i talk about ceramic bearings and do they need lubrication which is kinda what the title says funny that. Full ball bearing turbos do not need oil thats the whole point they use cermaic bearings instead of oil. Ceramic ball turbos precautions are not to allow impact on housing and to store horizontally. Things to check if your turbo leaks oil.
Ball bearing turbo cores have a restrictor in the oil inlet. Turbo systems are made up of moving parts which spin at incredibly high speeds and work under intense heat and pressure. A lot of those cars run 6 bar of oil pressure low turbos and sump pumps. August 5 2013 turbocharged engines will require more frequent maintenance such as oil changes and fresh spark plugs though they typically don t require additional service.
There is a down side though. Because they elimintate the oil they also eliminate the parisitic drag that goes with it oil cook and are more durable. This means that they need a constant flow of quality engine oil to lubricate the compression valve and intake and outlet fans to reduce wear and help them perform at their best. By the time you notice its leaking there is not much hope for a cheap rebuild.
The ruby sapphire would be more resistant to impact and are also another 5 times harder than ceramic. Couldn t take a photo for you guys.
